We are proud to announce that Mississippi Urology Outpatient Surgery Center has been named a 2026 Best Ambulatory Surgery Center for Urology by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition reflects what our team works toward every day: safe, high-quality surgical care for every patient we serve.

U.S. News evaluated 4,421 ambulatory surgery centers nationwide across specialties including urology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and spine, and colonoscopy and endoscopy. Of those, only 911 surgery centers, roughly one in five, earned recognition as among the nation's best performers. Mississippi Urology Outpatient Surgery Center is proud to be among them.

What the Rating Measures

The U.S. News ratings are built on real patient data, not surveys or self-reporting. Ratings are based on objective outcomes of patient care following ambulatory surgical procedures, including complications, unplanned admissions, and emergency department visits. U.S. News analyzed Medicare claims data to build a detailed picture of what happened to patients after their procedures, including whether they required an emergency room visit or experienced a serious complication.

The rating reflects how well a surgery center actually takes care of its patients, not just during the procedure, but in the days and weeks that follow.

High Performing: The Highest Possible Rating

Mississippi Urology Outpatient Surgery Center received a High Performing rating in Urology, the highest rating U.S. News awards, with a perfect Overall Rating of 3 out of 3. The High Performing designation is reserved for the top 15% of ambulatory surgery centers evaluated. This places our Surgery Center among a select group of facilities nationally and makes us one of four surgery centers in Mississippi to earn this distinction for urology care.

Our Surgery Center earned the best possible scores for both patient outcomes and length of stay post-procedure, two of the most direct measures of the quality of care a surgery center delivers.
