Flowood, MS — Mississippi Urology Clinic is proud to announce that its new Mississippi Urology Cancer Center officially opened on November 10, 2025. The facility, located at 1029 River Oaks Drive in Flowood, sits directly across the street from the practice’s Flowood Clinic. The new facility offers a state-of-the-art, patient-focused environment dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of urologic cancers.
The Cancer Center will be led by Dr. Patrick Daily, who will oversee day-to-day operations and patient care. Tanner Slay, physician assistant to Dr. Daily, will also support patient visits. The center’s hours mirror Mississippi Urology’s Jackson location: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, and Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon.
The facility was designed to give patients faster, more direct access to specialized care, particularly for prostate, bladder, kidney, and other urologic cancers, without having to compete for imaging or resources shared among other clinics.
“Our goal with the Cancer Center is to give patients a dedicated space where their entire care team is focused on them, without the delays that come from sharing imaging resources with hospitals,” said Dr. Daily. “It’s about improving access, reducing wait times, and providing continuity of care for patients navigating complex treatments.”
One of the most significant advancements at the new Cancer Center is its on-site PET scanner, marking the first freestanding PET service in the Jackson metro area and the first in Mississippi dedicated exclusively to urologic care.
Previously, patients referred for PET scans through local hospitals often waited four to eight weeks from scheduling to scan to follow-up. Mississippi Urology anticipates that its in-house capabilities could reduce that turnaround time to just one to two weeks—eight times faster than before in some cases.
“When patients are anxious about a diagnosis or waiting to start treatment, every day feels long,” Dr. Daily noted. “Being able to perform PET imaging right here means we can provide answers and initiate care much sooner.”
The Cancer Center also reflects a broader shift in urologic oncology toward advanced therapies for prostate cancer. Mississippi Urology has increasingly focused on administering these innovative treatments, which now outpace prostate surgeries in many cases. The new facility offers an ideal setting to monitor patients and manage potential side effects under one roof.
With the opening of the Mississippi Urology Cancer Center, patients across the region will now have access to faster diagnostics, streamlined care, and a specialized team focused entirely on improving outcomes in urologic cancer.
