Testicular Pain/Scrotal Pain

Testicular pain is pain associated with one or both testicles located in the scrotum, the sac that holds the testicles. The testicles are very sensitive and a minor injury can cause pain or discomfort. Testicular pain should be treated as a serious condition as to not cause conditions such as infertility, erectile dysfunction, severe or chronic pain, or tissue death that would make the removal of the testicle necessary.

SYMPTOMS

The symptoms of testicular pain can range from mild discomfort to severe pain depending on the underlining cause of pain; infection or severe trauma to the testicles. There are some symptoms beyond pain, such as: Unusual warmth or redness; blood in urine; unusual discharge from the urethra

TREATMENT

The treatment of testicular pain/scrotal pain depends on the diagnosis. The treatment may involve pain relief medication, antibiotics, untwisting of the testicles by a doctor or surgery.
